Psalm 96 3 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
Matthew 28: 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Luke 19:10 “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
These are but few verses that remind us of the need to reach out to our brothers and sisters. To grow the church and follow in our Lord’s footstep and serve with humility.
Outreach ministry serves primarily by sharing our church presence and events to the Indian community in Austin. During the year we had several occasions from Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas which was shared by the members of our congregation to the local community in their respective neighborhoods.
Members help by designing posters and invitation cards and is distributed to the local businesses, and the same is also shared with friends and colleagues to invite them to our church. Members also help by advertising in restaurants about the events in our church.
Austin Desi Christmas: Celebrating Christmas in a very Indian way with our community. Members invited colleagues and friends and celebrated Christmas with skits, songs, and dance and followed by fellowship and dinner. Austin Desi Christmas, this was the first year of organizing such an event, and it was exciting to see a significant participation from the community and more than 50 new families attended Desi Christmas.
However, we have a great need to do more. The population of the Indian community has grown multifold in Austin. The calendar of opportunities to participate in our community has increased. We sincerely pray to God and ask for blessings and guidance in these activities.
